10 best English TV series to watch
Split into 10 seasons, this by far, is the best English series of all time. F.R.I.E.N.D.S is a masterpiece because of the fact that everyone of us can relate to the people and the incidents on the screen. They are careless, casual, non-chalant and funny. This series makes complete justice to the words "The best comedy arises from the deepest sorrows".
No convoluted story, No twist , No nonsense. F.R.I.E.N.D.S is a celebration of life, the exuberance of youth and the glory of friendship. No argument here. ‘Friends’ is probably the greatest sit-com ever, and your and everybody-you-know’s obsession with it is totally legit.
2. Game of Thrones
Several royal families desire the Iron Throne to gain control of Westeros. Whilst kingdoms fight each other for power, a sinister force lurks beyond the Wall in the north. Great show, great sets, cast.
3. Breaking Bad
There is nothing to be said about the greatness of this series which hasn’t already been said. ‘Breaking Bad’ is a great show, and if you want to take a break from binge watching it for the 18th time, then we have a suggestion.
In this modernized version of the Conan Doyle characters, using his detective plots, Sherlock Holmes lives in early 21st century London and acts more cocky towards Scotland Yard's detective inspector Lestrade because he's actually less confident. Doctor Watson is now a fairly young veteran of the Afghan war, less adoring and more active. Unlike so many other TV adaptations and especially ones that modernise, you will find it witty, clever and above all, entertaining.
5. Prison Break
Iconic prison drama that lost its glory by the end. But irrespective of how it ended, ‘Prison Break’ has an epic fan following for all the right reasons. Though not many brilliant mainstream dramas are made, so we had to pick out a completely different sort of vibe for you.
This show about lawyers could have easily been a period drama. With the style and suave, it belongs right in the 60s.
7. The Big Bang Theory
A bunch of nerds and a ton of stereotypes. A fine show during its inital seasons, TBBT validated introverted genuises (and dimwits too) worldwide. But we have just had enough of every other B.Tech posting ‘The Bing Bang Theory’ all over their wall!
8. How I Met Your Mother
Admit it, you watched HIMYM for Barney and maybe the eye candy in it. Because the story and plot of the show died long back.
The Flash is a series about Barry Allen as a so called meta-human whose powers is extreme speed. Barry Allen is a very interesting and complex person, not to mention that he's a very likable and sincere guy. He's day job as a police scientist makes for a very interesting character and displays his intelligence in a genuinely spectacular manner.
Meta-humans, case-solving, interesting use and abuse of the powers given to Barry Allen and much more makes for a truly great and spectacular superhero series that will only continue to grow in seasons to come.
The series is filled with excitement and does not only make comic book fans jump off of their chairs in joy, but also introduces non-comic book fans into the DC-universe.
10. The Wire
Many people draw parallels between ‘The Wire’ and ‘Breaking Bad’. Sure ‘The Wire’ was the highest rated TV show before ‘Breaking Bad’ came along, but it operates on a different tangent. Makes for a thrilling watch for every ‘Breaking Bad’ fan.
